Experience informs my questions.
Curiosity keeps them open.
Over more than 20 years in technology, my work has spanned strategy, systems architecture, implementation, security, and compliance.
AI has been part of my daily work since around 2022. I bring that hands-on experience to a longer career helping businesses make technology work in the conditions they actually face.

Strategy has to survive contact with daily life.
A sound strategy needs a workable implementation. An implementation needs people who can use it. Both need clear responsibilities and a realistic understanding of cost, risk, and value.
Businesses rarely begin with a blank page. Existing systems, vendor agreements, budgets, and habits all shape what change can look like. Understanding those conditions is part of the work.
My approach is to ask what needs to improve, what is worth preserving, and how we will know whether a change is helping.
Founder
I founded L4 Consulting to give businesses access to experienced technical expertise when they don’t have it in-house.
The work begins with their existing environment: legacy software, disconnected information, manual processes, vendor commitments, and the challenges teams face using the tools they already have. From there, we assess what to keep, improve, integrate, or replace.
Our work spans technology strategy, architecture, systems integration, software and workflow automation, AI adoption, and ongoing support. Security and compliance considerations inform the design and implementation.
For AI initiatives, that means identifying useful applications, understanding implementation and recurring costs, defining human oversight, and deciding how results will be measured. That includes knowing when to adjust or stop an investment.
Learn about L4 Consulting ↗I have a stake in this future, too.
Being a father makes questions about the future feel immediate. I think about what my children will need to learn and whether the paths that were available to me will make sense for them.
I also know what it means to build a business while carrying everyday responsibilities. I see opportunity in these tools, but I understand why change can feel unsettling when a livelihood is involved.
I believe we need to prepare for a different relationship with work. I hope that gives people more freedom to pursue what matters to them. Getting there will take choices about who has access and how we support people through the transition.
I’m sharing my experience as one person working through this. I expect to keep learning, and I’ll explain when that changes my mind.
Let’s connect the bigger questions to practical work.
